What we aim for

• WCAG 2.2 Level AA on content surfaces (archive, legal, layer copy)
• Contrast that holds on dark atmospheric plates
• Visible focus and controls with clear name, role, and value
• Structure that assistive tech and crawlers can follow (one h1, labeled navs, main landmark)
• Skip-to-main and a menu that works without a pointer
• Archive search, RSS, and sitemap available without running scripts

Keyboard & assistive tech

• Skip link to main content on every page
• Primary navigation is real links (not icon-only mysteries)
• Forms expose labels, errors, and required state
• Decorative stage media is hidden from assistive trees where appropriate

Motion & stage effects

Home animations, particle atmosphere, page transitions, and instrument HUDs are progressive enhancement. When prefers-reduced-motion: reduce is set, decorative motion is suppressed and navigation stays plain. Content and links remain available without the show.

Known tradeoffs

The void stage is dense by design. We use scrims and type contrast so body copy stays readable over plates. The optional lower music bar is persistent chrome — mute or pause anytime. If a surface still fails for you, tell us — we treat that as a product defect, not a “nice to have.”

Conformance status

We target WCAG 2.2 AA for text content (archive, legal, layer prose). Stage/home experiences are progressive enhancement and may not meet every non-text criterion in every browser. We do not claim a third-party audit seal; we ship fixes when barriers are reported.
